Hey what race fuel do you run in your 250r........and were can you buy it i want to buy race fuel

but i dont think they ship any race fuel.....if they do were....and i want a kind that smells good :D

I just read your signature and it seems that you don't have any MAJOR engine mods. You don't need to run race gas. Running race gas in an unmodifed engine just makes them harder to jet and can mush the throttle response.

But, I believe Sunuco stations sell Cam2 race gas..

race gas is for hi-compression motors...it burns slower,what is yours?do you know?

You shouldnt have to run race gas, unless you have tons of money u just NEED to get rid of, it can make it harder to jet runnning race fuel?

Usually the purpose of race gas is to prevent detonation in high compression motors. You won't hurt anything by running it in a motor that doesn't need it but it costs way more than pump gas.
I ran VP C-16 for a while before I found out the specific gravity was too low for use with premix.
Now I run Unical 76 "110 competition". It's about $150 cheaper per barrel than VP ($220 for a 55 gal drum).
You usually can't get fuel via mail order. Ask local race shops or check in your yellow pages for fuel distributors.

100LL from your local airport. Usually it is less than $3.00 per gallon. I use it in both my LRD300R with 240lbs of commpression and my ported Banshee with 215lbs of compression. You just need to rejet to compensate for the added O2 in the 100LL.;)

VP C12 mixed with Maxima 927 @ 32:1. The VP C12 burns cooler than pump gas. The less heat the better. :D

High-octane race gas doesn't give you more power. Higher compression gives you more power, but you need high-octane in high compression.

I run VP C-12 with Red Line in my quad. My girlfriend says it smells much better than pump gas.

I don't think he cares about the performance, he's just looking for some gas to sniff. There's alot more of these closet fuel sniffers than you think... Probably explains his post.

i run sunoco 111 mixed w/ sunoco 93 half and half, smells good and runs great;) i also run motul 800 at 44:1

lol, :huh I didnt know spell made it more powerful/better...

I get 110 oct. I think that I can run 1/2 race 1/2 92 I need to find out, but I am going to try and get a sponsership with our local gas company...... cheap race fual is a DREAM that hopefully will come true....:cool:

i dont have a 250r, but i run B-32. it hovers around 3.65/gallon but goes up to close to 4.50 in the winter.
