how much louder than a stock cam are these things supposed to be. I dont have anything to compare by. But I have a pretty loud ticking sound. I may be worrying about nothing but this ticking seems too loud. What else wears out in the valve train to cause ticking. I'm not asking for speculation just other people similar experiences.

I agree with hotrod chaeck the valves. An aftermarket can is going to make more noise.:)

I just parked mine next to my buddies. His has a stage 2 hot cams. Mine was alot louder. Within a few mintues it got even louder. Ill ride it till its so loud I am afraid of it. Which takes all of 30 minutes. Then I adjust the valves again. Its a cycle I have been going through for weeks. Something is wearing out in my valve train. It might be my shiny new 124.95 hot cams stage 1 or my valve tips or my rocker arms or my sub rocker arms or my forehead from beating against the wall everyday. I'm about to throw my quad off of a bridge.

it could be your cam chain tensioner
