Alright I was wondering if I could get some cheap info on what beginning mods I should start off with (6 or 7 months after bike is bought) once I obtain the bike. And also anyone have a good way on breaking in a 400ex?

The best mod you will ever buy is suspension. However its the most costly too.

I did all the motor work on mine first, I think it's a macho thing. Then I moved on to dress up items. Then I finally made some suspension upgrades and all I could think to myself was WOW, why didn't I do this a long time ago. Looking back, I'd rather have a stock motor with top notch suspension than a built to the hilt motor with stock suspension.

As far as breaking it in, just always tell yourself that you can never do too much maintenance. Never skip or stretch out a routine check and it should give you a long time of good use.
