Problem putting K&N in Pingry Airbox....help??

I'm trying to put a K&N in a Pingry airbox and it won't go in.

It seems that the hole in the airbox where the boot comes through might be to small....the flange on the K&N is steel and I can't get it all the way into the boot.

Has anyone else had this problem....or does anyone have any tips or advice? Thanks!!!

Did you get the K&N that is designed for that airbox, or is it stock. I know a few airboxes need a different size than stock.

what he said. Call pingry see what size it takes then order direct k&N cause it will be cheaper!:)

actually, no I didn't...it's just a standard 400ex K&N filter.....I'll look into contacting Pingry
