What kind of chain lube works best for riding in the dunes ?

I like Bel-Ray chain wax for the dunes. The sand doesn't seem to stick in it.

Have to admitt that I skip lube if I know I am going to the dunes... I have found that they all attract sand... better to rely on the O-rings to keep it out.... and then really lube it well for the trails....
I have heard that some guys will just run a "sand chain" without Orings and just replace it as needed....
Good Luck:confused:

I use Maxima Chain Wax...be sure to ride the quad to warm up the chain before you put it on though, that way it gets good coverage, and let is set for at least 10 minutes or so after applying it so it cools and stays on. Best time to do it is before you load up to head for the dunes. Best thing about it is it doesnt attract sand after its applied and it doesnt fling off at all while riding.

i like to use white lithium grease. it comes in a spray can and is easy to apply, it is semi dry so it doesnt fly everywhere and dirt dont stick, plus it kinda bonds to the chain.

i use it and it works great
