Are the leaves going to peak this weekend or next? I'm thinking about taking a ride down this weekend but I don't think the leaves have changed much yet...

i live about 1hr from Shenandoah.......IOWA
and yes the leaves are perty

Hmm.. I think you're a little further west and the temps are probably lower there. That would explain why their changing on your side of the Shenandoah already. I live in the suburbs(N.VA) and they are just barely starting to change. It's been my experience that the tree's in the city are usually a week behind the mountains... Thanks for chiming in! I think I will hold off for another week then.

What's up buddy? So there is a lot of green left? Have they started turning red yet? My favorite time to go is when everything is red, orange, and gold.. There isn't much to look at when they just initially begin to change into the red stage.
