My local dealer is offering me a WB R-4 S-bend, jets and WB filter for $300.
Is the R-4 a well made pipe? How are the gains? What about the sound level w/ and w/o the Q- core? Tell me anything you know

Personallt I think it's the best pipe except for the HMF. Makes a good more bottom end I feel.

I have a R4 slip on pipe on my 400ex and it gave me alot more bottom to mid power and it sounds better than the HMF. A buddy fo mine has an HMF on his 400ex and I beat him through 4th gear and then he gets me on top end.

What do I need to do as far as jetting? Im going to run a UNI filter with the airbox lid ON. I live in VA. Please respond with your mods and jetting

I running a 146 main jet and stock pilot jet with air box lid on I would suggest a 165 or 170 main jet with out the air box. I also have the screen spark arrestor in. I holds more compression and sounds better.

in my opinion, OPINION, r-4 sucks. my friend has it, louder than all hell, power gains aren't great. but it could just need to be repacked, and it doesn't seem to fit onto the headpipe very well, there's a huge gap, like it wasn't even designed for the same machine, but it is:confused:
