Blown Head gasket! Need Recommendations For A New One.

My friends I.M.S. 440 equipped EX lost a head gasket this weekend. Anybody have any recommendations on one better than the one in the I.M.S. kit?

I talked with Chad (extension 125) the other day. Really helpfull guy.

They offer standard or stanless gaskets. He said they'd custom make the stainless ones in thicknesses of .25 to .40 at no extra charge.

Find out why he blew the head gasket. Was it detonating? Sometimes you can't hear it happening; get a magnifying glass and look at the spark plug. If it has little aluminum balls on there, you have a detonation problem.

If you are blowing a head gasket, something is wrong. :confused:
I was at the Honda shop the other day and a guy was looking for a head gasket for a 440. I think that they found one from White Bros for $45. :huh Sounded pretty pricey to me.

Cometic makes good gaskets, but you better find out why his 440 blew the head gasket first. It could have just been a fualty head gasket or a major/minor problem that needs to be fixed. While you have it apart check it out.
