I just got my HJC ac-x2 static helmet and it feels like crap. Its not because its not small, its because the part on the back of my head and on my forehead, is just hard plastic with a little piece of fabric over it. What were they thinking?

Whats a good helmet with some cushion inside of it?

Any helmet over 200$ is usually really nice in comfort and quality. I've used bell Moto 4's for a few years now and like them a lot.

you just have to try them on, I got a G-Max helmet, and I like it. It was a good price and I like the quality of it.

I sell alot of Vega helmets and they are really nice helmets and are not over priced. I wear a Fly lite helmet and really like it.:)

I'd recommend going to a local bike shop and actually try on some different brands of helmets to see which ones fit you. You'll find that certain brands will fit your head shape better and will be more comfortable. Even if you don't buy it there, you'll have a better idea of what to get when you order online.

On the fox pro pilot, the inner part that is on your forehead. Is it soft there, maybe a pad there? Or is it kinda hard with just some linar over it?

The Fox Pilot helmets are super cushy inside - so are the brand new Troy Lee helmets - those things are super soft inside. I have a Shoei and it's super comfy but not as padded inside as the Fox Pilot's..........

I have an O'Neal WF691 (I think thats the model number, it may be called the 692 now), and it is extremely comfortable.. My buddy has the entry level O'Neal (WF541 I think), and it too is really comfortable. I paid about 189.99$ for my helmet (on sale) and his was under 100$..

I bought a Carmichael outdoor Fox replica helmet and it is way comfortable. You do have to get past the price tag though. I think if you can swing a nice helmet it is a good investment.
