As some of you may know I have a head stud that is stripped so Im going to put a heli coil only problem is that they whant like 80$can for the kits. I have accest to tap set the only think I need to know is what size tap do I use for a heli coil on a metric 10mm fine tread bolt??? please help:confused:

Find a local shop that can put a timeset in 20 bucks us money but way better than a heli imo check around i had heli come out but not a timeset if this helps?

when i put a heli coil in my head the kit cost me 30$ and it came with the tap and tool thing, i got it at pep boys if that helps

Helicoil taps are not interchangeable with standard inch or metric taps. Unfortunately most places only sell the inserts or complete sets.
