I know this has been asked before but I'm too lazy to do a search:blah: . Who makes the best brake pads for a 400? Is it best to just go with stockers or does anybody else make any that will last. I have Galpher on the rear now and they didn't last long at all:grr: .

Id like to know too! I can't get any more than 2 months out of a set of pads. I know alot has to do w/ the type of riding conditions. Because I rarely use my rear brakes and they still wear out quick. :grr:

I have switched to the DP pads and really seem to like them they have lasted me longer than the breaking pads.

Do you have to use their rotors or will their pads work on a stock rotor?

I think we need a brake pad post in the F.A.Q forum, since Exs like to go through pads so often.
I personally have used EBC standard pads and have gotten fairly good life out of them. But I also don't ride in much mud or water either.

I, like Dusty said, have had the best luck with the DP pads. I've found them to last a bit longer than stock. Stock pads seem to be 2nd best.

Anotherthing that seems to help is to use a deburring bit on the cooling holes of the rotor to take the sharp edge off.

I guess DP it is. Thats a pretty good idea with the rotor Jeff I hadn't thought of that:) .
