i kno u ppl r gonn say look up a search and i did, but my main is a 170 and pilot is stock do i need bump my piolet up?? if so how much??

i would say so...u will be anywhere between 40-45

If it is popping when you let off the gas then yes you need a larger pilot jet:)

also, i would come down on your main jet to at least a 160.

i put in a 42 pilot and it is popping real bad upon decelaration. if i went up to a 45 would kinda calm down a bit?

There is no reason to drop the main jet size if it runs good on top. I run a 165 in the summer and 170 in the winter in a stock carb with a 416 kit at 3000 feet in all of my customers bikes
