hey. i am going to be getting my cannondale cannibal as soon as my quad sells. the guy at the shop says it doesnt like cold weather and that i will need to get it remaped for the winter and then again for the summer.. well i looked at it and the problem is it has an hmf full system and is on stop mapping so i am goin to change it to moto mapping...my question is does anyone in my area know where i can get it remapped cheap. i dont want to have to buy a lap top and all the software. thanks

its fine you dont need to re-map it all the time..i have Custom Nac's moto map in mine and i kept it through winter and summer...dont worry about it

i know i dont need to remap it for the winter...but it is running stock map with a full hmf system and k&n so that is why it is running like chit...so i am goin to get the moto mapping for it

well, definately get it remapped to either the blaze, moto, moto-speed, nac's something of that nature that is meant to run with an aftermarket exhaust, and make sure you get the throttle and injector offset and settings correct..i assume your dealer is doing this so it shouldn't be too much of a problem

this is a 2002 cannibal i presume? also make sure you get all of the updates before you ride it ( oil vent, stud update ( stage 8), and all the other updates and things

also, listen to cdale chick, www.championmotorsports.net and talk to either jim or scott, they know there stuff! and are a huge help with everything!

then you'll be ready to RIdeee have fun man this is a huge step up from a 250ex!

I recieved a used Dale with a similar problem. what happened was the bike was running lean. Which would be your problem due to the fact that you have a stock cannibal map with an HMF exhaust. It is running too lean right now. A change to a moto map should do the trick. I know it is expensive to get the computer set-up, but I think it has been well worth it. It gives you the oppourtunity to change maps so you can see what you would like and change for different conditions.

Do you have a desktop near a ground floor window? All you need is a serial port on a computer.

Youins don't have winter like us northerns! Actually, mine becomes hard starting in the winter months. I just richen it up some on the bottom, and she clears right up.
