Mx Tires

What kind of tires should i get for MX. I want 8inch rims on the back and probabaly the holeshot tires with it but what size front tires should i get.

Well, i have 19" fronts. But i hear that 20's are a little better because they soak up bumps better and are better for rougher conditions and whoops. I am getting 20" next time. But i can't complain about the 19's because they are a great tire....they turn really good, better than grooved radials.

You will be happy with the holeshot MX rears....they have excelent bit in soft dirt. although they are a little slippery on clay or hard packed surfaces, they are pretty good on all surfaces.

I am going to try some grooved turf tamers next.

I too run the 19 holeshots up front and like them a lot. I have grooved 18inch turf tamers in the back and like them also, they hook up great in the soft stuff. Next time I want to get the 9.5 inch wide ones and try them.

Yeah, i've head of a lot of people using 9.5 tamers on the rear. I wonder how it would help you, cornering, starts, ect...?

you would think that the 11's would hood better,a but i guess that's not always what you want, sometime a little spin is better huh!!!!!!!!

I run the 19 inch holeshot mx's in the front on douglas red label rims and grooved turf tamers in the rear on douglas champion beadlocks. I think this setup works best for me.

we always run the 9.5's, i ve never even rode sumtin with 11's!!
i would go with one of these setups...
18x9.5x8 Turf Tamers and Riken/MX Radial Fronts
or
The New MX style ITP Holeshot or Maxxis Razr's
or a combo of all
Just personal prefrence, i like 400exRacerX's Setup the best!!
