How much faster will a HMF exhaust and my rejetted carb. make my 400 go? I don't know how many mph, if any..anyone else know or have an idea? It's all stock except for this exhaust and the rejetting. I have a UNI air-filter too.

And after my HMF gets here will it be able to beat a piped Warrior? (Yoshimura)

1-2mph not much if you won't more top speed get a 16t sprocket

you should already be beating piped warriors!

I am beating them:devil: more distance never hurts though:D :D

How much is a 16T sprocket?

depends where you get one from. i got mine from a dealer for about $25. you will be able to find them cheaper elsewhere though.

You should already be hitting the rev limiter with a stock pipe. An aftermarket pipe shouldn't make your top speed any faster, but it should improve your acceleration a bit.

Yep, and the acceleration gain can allow you to run taller gearing that will give you more top speed. I run a 36t rear and 15 front at times which helps alot on top. 16t front eliminates your case saver! Not Good!:ermm:

Is there any downsides to getting a different sprocket? like a 36T sprocket in the rear or a 16T in the front, I know they're going to give me top end gains, but will I be sacraficing acceleration?

you will sacrifice quite a bit of bottom end and acceleration w/ the 16/36 combo on a piped 400. Only when you get into bigger bores...etc will you be able to run that drastic of a setup. JMO

When I used it I liked it even in the woods, for fast rides with fast riders, but I am a big boy at 6'2" and 270lb, and my clutch would chatter once in a while with that gearing. I am back to 15/38 until I get a Hinson 8 plate clutch set up.:(

I'd rather keep my bottom end, and just keep everything the way it is, instead of losing bottom end just to get more top end, maybe later I'll get a 416 kit or a 440 kit then go with the 16T sprocket.
