416 stroker

i was wondering if anyone has this setup, and what you think about it. A buddy of mine has it and he says it will smoke a 440 bore.

As far as I know there is no 416 stroker, the smallest stroker out there is a 440: a 87mm piston with a 74.5mm stroke (stock is 85x70).

Most commonly a 416 is punching the stock liner .080 over, taking the stock piston from 85mm to 87mm.

Don't knock the 416's...even without the stroker.

Mine easily walks away from 430's. Ive never raced a 440, but I do keep up with Raptors and DS650's, so I can't imagine a 440 has anything on me.

yes, if you get a plain 416, (stock stroke) you will be very pleased. Ive heard that when built right, they will take a 440.

I have both a 440 and 416, and you guys are crazy if you think your properly built 416 will smoke a properly buit 440!

this is the 416 bore with a 4mm stroke, so it is a 440

I know a 416 aint gonna take a sparks 440 or somethin like that, but ive SEEN IT W/ MY OWN EYES. Those 416's rev VERY quickly, and its not uncommon for them to beat a 440


So witch is it you heard a 416 will take a 440 or you have seen it with you own eyes? I own both and ride both everyday. 416's won't beat 440's people.

yes, i have SEEN a 416 take a 440. But what does the power matter anyways?? havin the bigger, stronger motor dont meen jack if you cant ride.

About the 416 bore 440 stroker. IT will probably be faster than the plain 440. You will rev lots faster

i wouldn't be sayin that so much 01_400exrider, i've seen quite a few 416's beat 440's, cause displacement isn't the only way to be faster, ie porting, carboration, RIDER, gearing

But i do agree, rider plays one of the biggest roles on a bike. If you cant ride i wouldnt suggest getting a 440 kit tho:eek2:

ok you said a 440 could walk over a 416 im not a dragger i dont a have a bottle so ill let my 2 year old hold your bottle and well race theres a race in chowchilla on the 25 ill be there if you want to meet up beforehand ill do it if not theres a new race series in your town that just started so we can meet up when im down there. so what do you have and who built it

There is a 416 sitting in my shop that would more than likely walk all over your 440. There is also a 460 that wouldnt even sweat your 440. Take your pick.:)

hey 310 you always run on someone elses coat tail. im sure chef and i will run into each other some day both of us are love to TT and arent that far away. but i would take him up on his 416 but 01-400exrider did run from this subject

Its not my 416, but it does run pretty good considering how mild it is. Wonder where the little dude with the nitrous went though?:confused:

so you eveer think about coming down to these parts to race if so let me know we have some really good track and some good riders 2 made it into the mains in the stadium series last year you should try to come down next year
