What are you people using for a thumb throttle on your 250R's? I want to swap mine for something more comfortable. Maybe one from a 350X or a 400EX. Does anyone make an aftermarket one?

the thumb throttle on a stock 250r is one of the best unit's you can run. it uses a spring and mechanical leverage for a consistant ...smooth pull. i run one on my 400ex over the stock unit. the aftermarket throttles are not worth the money and will be harder to pull then the stock R or 400ex unit. if your's is stiff then buy a new cable and replace the 2 small bushings inside the throttle and a bit of synthetic lube on the shaft

The throttle is as smooth as silk, it's just uncomfortable. I may swap one from my 350X or my 400EX. I thought I read somewhere that a 300EX thumb throttle was more comfortable than the R. It may be because I haven't been riding it. I see James Lucky has an adjustable lever. Anyone have one?

the most comfy thumb throttle I ever had was the 350x,not sure how different they are from the 400 but I know they are different from the 250r,my R throttle bugs me a bit also haha:D if I remember right..the bottom mount-clamp is straight and not angled, wondered if that had something to do w/ them feeling so different:confused: ,good luck w/ it and lemme know what you come up w/:blah:
