i can't figure this out. my modifications are:

10.8:1 ross piston, x-6 exhaust, uni filter, modded air box lid, and stage 2 hotcam. jetting is a 162 keihin main.

my friend has:

10.1:1 wiseco piston, big gun slip on, k&n filter, air box lid is ON, and stage 1 hotcam. his jetting is a 158 keihin.

the thing is, i can beat him through the gears but he has every bit of what i do on top end. i actually am running higher gearing than him too. with my mods, i should be beating him fairly easily on top. i am going to try to go down on the main. when i had a 160 in, we were dead even on top so i guess it is faster with that one in compared to the 162. i tried a 165 and it ran good, but it was the slowest of the bunch. any suggestions would be great. thanks

Try a 155 main and see what happens. I have always ran them in my stock carbs with an 11:1 440. And have always had good results. Leaner = faster to a certain extent.

Yea i bought your carb off ebay, and it had a 155 main, 42 pilot, and choke removed...what jets should i run in it for my 330?

Put the 160 back in, or try a 158.

well i put a 158 in and the bike ran better. i did a plug chop and the tip of the plug was white. right on the bend of the plug is where it started turning light brown. i should be fairly close to the correct jetting now. i may be a tad lean, but i think it will work fine until i get to the colder months of the year then i will put in a 160. does this sound correct??

Sorry it took you so long to get it it, I should have used a better box the first time i sent it. I thought i had a 40 pilot in it, anyways. I would put it on see how it runs and if its overly rich go down from there. Just remember the needle controls idle to 1/3 throttle, the pilot controls 1/3 to 2/3 throttle and the main jet covers 2/3 throttle and up.

well i didnt buy it, my friend did for his 250x(stonerider250x) and the carb with a 135 main was way too much for his 250, so im gonna start with a 155 main, and 42 pilot, and go from there, but i told him to buy it, cuz i wanted it:D its all right about how long it took, cuz it turned out to be tooo big any way
