New (unofficial) record. Happened about 2 weeks ago in Vegas. 4th tapped on a CR250.

and i thought 110ft looked huge at ruasch with the quads...


i can't even imagine a 260ft jump... when u jump 50ft it seems like ur in the air forever... the good thing about jumpin that far is u would have alot of air time to correct the bike in the air for a smooth landing...

i wonder if he carries a magazine to read up there with all that time:p

that is nuts...... 4th gear? arent they like 6 speeds..? imagine fully tapped in 6th:eek2:


how the hell do u judge how fast to be going to hit something that friggin big?:confused:

It's a 5 speed. Ryan isn't a fake like Robbie Kneival. He looks at it and goes "Eh, 4th tapped, I'll be alright.."

His bike has to be geared lower, because about 2 months ago he jumped 256', and was WFO in 5th. I believe he jumped it about 15 times too, and his longest was 256. I don't have the full story on the 260 footer though.

thats insane!!

I dont think its the farthest anyone has ever jumped though. Anyone ever seen MX Anthology?

I saw a short story on tv awhile ago about a guy from europe,england I think ..that went about 253 ft..on his final attempt ...in the rain :eek2:
...he was shooting for 275 ..but the rain stopped him on his last attempt
& BTW,he was on a cr250 also

Didn't Seth Enzlow get 300 feet before? Except for when he landed his tires blew, his wheels flattened, and he wadded up pretty hard.

I dont' know though... it's been a while since I've seen it but I thought he got 300 feet but they didn't count it as a record since he didn't really land it. He landed on both wheels just fine but his stuff didn't hold up to good for that impact.

It was pretty friggin nuts. You just see him soaring and soaring and soaring and you're thinkin... aight, he's gotta land sometime.

I think that was on the Crusty Demons video... I watched it, took it outside and set it on top of my truck so I could load up my stuff and then I forgot about it and when I was driving off, it fell off and I ran over it :( .

Yea, Sethro's dune crash was NUTS. He overshot his projected landing by a good 50 feet and just wrecked his Suzuki on impact..

ryan capes was the one who jumped 240ft or around their in the rain. Its the same guy who is doing all this distance jumping. Seth has been having a lot of bad luck. First the dune crash in crusty 2 where he wayyy overshot a step down and just flew forever and demolished his bike. Then in one attempt which was set at close to a hundred feet his front end broke off his honda then he overshot a 200+ft jump when they kept moving it back farther and farther and really messed himself up. To then get injured again at mannies on the 220ft'er or around there.


Anyways ryan capes is the man. If anyone can go for 300 its that guy.

Seth's dune crash was in Crusty 1. I remember seeing that 220 or so footer when the front end broke off on his Service Honda CR500. That crash when he kept moving the ramp back was nuts. His face basically fell off.. Took like 155 stiches to fix him up. I remember he was going for something like 250' at Mannys and wrecked and broke his femur or something.

Capes is the man though. He does SSG's off 200+ footers..

it wouldn't og been 300 ft it was probley 200 or something
