If anyone's going; look for a brown ext-cab S-10, a white F-250 and F-150, an old blue F-150, and a bunch of 400's, Z400's, a Raptor, and a couple of bikes. We'll be off to the left at the base of the big dune by the bowl. See you there.

hows about hallos eve, you gonna be there? thats about when the ol(well i guess new) 416 will be good and broke in..........

As of right now, there's a big Coral Pink trip planned for that weekend. Meet us up there if you want (you'll probably have to call ahead and reserve a site--do a search on google for the number). This Dumont trip will be the first dune trip for my new 416. I installed a top end cooler, a colder plug, and I'm running race gas, so I'm curious about how it will run.:cool:

there are quite a few of us heading out on halloween, im only gonna spend one day anyway cause the folks are comin out that weekend also. that will be the first dune trip for my new 416 also. i just got mine back together last night and ordered my oil cooler stuff 2 days ago, so by next weekend i should be breakin her in.:macho FINALLY

I really like mine. I went with the stage 1 HotCams cam, and I don't regret it for a second. My favorite thing about the 400's motor is the torque, and the stage 1 cam and 11:1 CR piston made the bottom end even stronger and at the same time gave me a lot more mid and top. Dollar for dollar, though, the cooler kit was the best investment. I can tell a big difference in how hot it gets. Even on a hot (100+) day, I notice that the engine doesn't radiate heat on my leg like it used to.

i hope mine turns out great. 11:1 JE, hotcam II, port job, and an oil cooler. i guess we'll see......

I should tell WickedJenDol300 to go so she can learn how to ride the dunes...I would go but I can't do shiznit till after Dec 6th..so have fun guys....

Did you end up going? Was it hot? Our first trip will be Halloween We have to put a lift on our new truck first :devil: I can't wait I am so excited!!!!!

Yeah, we went out there. We were the only ones on the dunes! It was a little warm during the mid-afternoon hours, but not unbearable. The mornings and nights were awesome!! My 416 ran better than it's ever run. I was pulling 3rd all the way to the top of Comp Hill with stock gearing. My brother had his piped and jetted Raptor, and his buddy had a piped (full) and jetted Z400. We were all pretty much even, it really depended on who got the better start. It was fun, but it went by too fast, especially driving from and to Phoenix. Next trip will be Glamis over Veteran's Day, hopefully by then this damned furnace will cool off a little. :cool:
