I'm in the market for a new 250r flywheel, and I noticed that the part numbers are different between the 86-87 and the 88-89.

Anybody know the difference?

Will an 88-89 work on an 86 (and vise versa) without any problems?

I don't really want a CR ignition, I need my lights. In fact, I'm looking to UPGRADE my stator to high-output.

Not only that, a high compression 340 needs a heavier flywheel, so I really don't want to go lighter. Stock flywheel on a big 340 is almost like a lightened flywheel on a stock bore.

If you are looking into adding weight to your flywheel, look into a PVl digital ignition system. You can add and remove weights from the flywheels, adjust the curves and i believe you can also run lights, but i am not 100% on that. I will start looking around Macdizzy to see what i can dig up on Pvl's for you. I do know that the pvl systems are cheaper than any Cr systems.
