I think that bad boy needs a little more tire underneath it! That would probably be the closest thing to a Formula 1 car that we'd ever get to drive.

Hmm....time to get the welder out:D

Awesome! Reminds me of this little rail bugy I saw at the dune, it had a Hayabusa motor in it! The whole buggy weighed a little over 400lbs. That thing FLEWWWWW! :eek2: :D

Sweet. Those shifter karts are crazy. They top out at like 160MPH with a 250 2 stroke in them. Overseas they mark out courses in city streets and race them.. Its nuts.

Wonder what the power-weight ratio is on that. Did they say the HP. I forgot how much the Gixxer's make...

Ok, don't quote me on this, but I think the 1100's of that era made as much as 156HP. Throw that into a 300lb. package and wow. :eek2: That is a P/W ratio of roughly .5, while a stock EX is around .07 Why am I wasting my time with this thing? ;)

That thing would be fun as hell but the real b!tch would be finding a place to ride it. A flat parking lot would get boring and I don't have any tracks like that guy was riding on around here. Remember, Michael Schumacher started with racing karts:cool:

I think I would just end up taking it to the backroads. ;) It would also be fun to stud up the tires and find a nice smooth lake in the winter, all until you slide going 150 and suddenly hook up.
Can't a man dream? :D

that thing is really sweet, but way to much for me. im not saying i wouldnt ride it. but i think a regular 250cc liquid 2 stroke shifter cart would be more then enough power. i would be wearin a better helmet than that and wouldnt be going so fast. seems like you could flip those so easy.

That rocks on so many levels!
At the beginning it said it was 115ps. The ratio of PS to HP is about 1 to 1 (I think it's like 1.01hp per PS), so it's basically 115hp. Karts are light, with the 2 stroke motors we used to run I think they were around 200lbs, that one is probably 300 with the gixxer motor. Pretty fun!
My dad and I might get into SCCA "D Sports Racing" if we get out of drag racing. It's basically a bigger lay-down type go kart with full body work (looks like the old Can-Am racecars) powered by 1000cc street bike motors with unlimited engine mods (no power-adders though). So it's a 600lb car with big tires powered by a 200+hp 6 speed motor. woohoo!

yeah there are some incredible machines out there. Makes my ZX6 powered quad seem very tame.
At sandlake on some of the big weekends there are a couple of mid-engine rails with blown big blocks on alcohol. They throw 100 yard rooster tails :macho
