HEy guys are amm gettin ready to start workin on the 400, since the 14/15 class chances are lookin slim. My dad wants it to have a lower center of cravity. We are lookin at shocks and stuff. Would lowering it help? And really what shocks are the best? Would works help? We are also thinkin about elkas. What should we do?

for a 14 year old dude..you are lucky..."why" because dad has told you he wants a lower center of gravity and if he is willing to back up that suggestion with a visa card...lol you can go the route of "zero preload style shocks", make dad happy and have one helluva nice handling quad...

tell pops he is the smartest dad in the world and grab that plastic!

Call C&D and order you some Elka's with SSD. I suggest getting the Elka link for the Rear also.

Yeh i agree with these guys u need a zps style shock. Get TCS or Elka's these are the best brand of zps. Either is a good choice.

Supsension makes all the difference in the world. I just got Elka triple rate 0 preload up front and an Elka rebuilt rear, It lowered the quad 4 inches in the center, You can get a durablue lowering strut for the rear also. It makes a ton of difference, Messing with the gearing helps too. I run 14/39 gearing, I can leave it a gear higher and still pull through with no problem. Bead locks, Nerfs, and a steering stablizer are almost a must, I run 22's cause my tracks are rocky and rutted, but other tracks aren't so bad. Hope this helps....

Yes XC means cross country. The best advice is to just go out and race one and go from there. There is no mod that substitues for experience.
