I have a stock 400ex shock rebuilt, revalved, and resprung for a 210 - 240 rider. It has gold series valves and about 4 months of use. It is a world of difference over stock. Worth the $250 to have it rebuilt. I'm getting out of MX and into XC so i have no use for the shock anymore..
It's in great shape and has a black spring. I don't have a pic of it, but if you wanna see what it looks like, go look at a stocker and imagine the spring being black. :)
