I am new to the aftermarket shock world! I purchased an old pair of WP Shocks for 200.00. I sent them to a local m.c. shop for rebuild and new oil. cost 175.00. They supposedly replaced the oil, all seals and the adjuster knob. I used them for about 1 hour and they started leaking oil and would bottom out just by sitting on the front bumber. Both adjusters are still too hard to turn so I guess they need rebuilt too. I also think the reservoirs need rebuilt. I would like to send them to get rebuilt by a REAL WP shock rebuilder with knowledge of this particular shock. Are they worth the money to rebuild? If I spend another couple hundred dollars on them will they be much better than stock? I occasionally race harescrambles and do alot of pit riding. I cannot bring myself to pay the 800-1,500+ for real shocks! Thanks for any help!:(
