Just try charging it first.

just pop start it again, and it let run for 20-30 mins and it should take a good charge then.

but my neutral light works, and so do the headlights.. i dont think its the battery, could it be that i flooded it and flouled the plug because i kept on trying to start it?

it takes alot less power to work lights than a starter

pop start it and idle it and let the battery recharge for about 5-10 min.

i had the same problem with my 400 when you start it or attempt to start it do you hear a clicking noise from the starting relay??
if so just change the battery because it will be that the cells are dry in the batt!!

check the fluid in the cells before you charge but be aware your batt might on it's way it might only hold the charge for a week or so to change it is easy two bolts hold the battery in the case then take terminals off swap it then your good to go!! :D

Changing the spark plug on a 400 is about the easiest thing you can do other than putting gas in it.Learn something about your machine.

Replace your WB rev box with a stock unit, charge the battery and it should start.

Spark Plug Change......

I use a Crafstman 18mm 3/8 drive deep well with the short extention.
The only 'trick' is put the socket on the plug first, add the extention then put on the ratchet.
Works every time for me:)

Check with pappy on what battery to get, he knows the part number of a battery with higher CCA's than stock that fits.
Or do a search of the forums to find it.
