View Full Version : 250r stem on a 400ex

I waswondering if a 250r sterring stem would fit on a 400 ex. It is a Houser anit-vibe stem if that makes a difference.:confused:

i wonder if a 400ex stem will work on a 250r? good question cause there is some good deals on 400ex stems around here......and oem ones are alot cheaper than 250r ones

From what i have heard about it is you have to have the spindles to match the stem then it will work right. If you try to use oposite it doesnt turn right.

Sorry to inform you guys, but a 250R stem and a 400EX stem are NOT interchangeable. The swap won't work. The reason is the steering stops are on different sides of the stem. The 400EX stops are on the front, and the 250R stops are on the back side of the stem. ALso, the EX stem is longer.
