how to drain gas from the carb?

I drained the all the gas from the tank by unplugging the hose that goes into the carb. I hope thats the right way :) Anyways isnt there suppose to be some gas left inside the carb? If so how can I drain it? I have a 400EX...Thanks!

On the carb [right buy the choke lever] there is a screw,back it out & the gas will drain out of the float bowl........;)

Or just remove the bowl.Underside og the carb...17mm I think,take the black vent hose off of the motor directly under neath and make sure to cover the hole with a rag so the gas will not drip into the motor.Removeing the hose is to make it easier to access the bowl.It is better to take the bowl off to inspect for water and debries(dirt).
