what would be the best piston to run in my 250r? i have herd of alot of guys running cr250 and yz250 pistons in thier R's. i have an 86, and plan on puttin an 88 crank in it and running the spacer plate with an 88 cylinder. i mainly do alot of trial riding, so what would be the best setup?

I think both of those are good. I've used a lot of Wiseco (in sleds)and haven't had a problem.

For that bike I would use the weisco or the prox both good pistons..

i have heard alot of good things about vortex pistons.......never used one though or ridden a machine with it but they intake ports are huge on them and they are good and light.....;)

ive used both and feel the pro-x revs a little faster.

I've heard Pro-X pistons weigh considerably more than Wiseco Prolite. Anyone have any info on that?

The wiseco and pro-x are top choice. Ive heard bad things about the vertex, I wouldnt touch em.

Ive ran both wiseco and pro-x they are both a good choice, if your running a high comp motor I would lean towards the forged wiseco, in case the piston feels like breaking under high comp.

either one both weigh about the same.

If you run the 88 crank and spacer in your motor make sure u order the 86 style piston.

I've heard the yz 250 pistons need to have the piston ring pin relocated? other wise it may hang up on the intake bridge?
correct me if im wrong on this..
