i have a 2003 400ex and i have installed a dmc full exhaust and since it seems that after running only a minuite or two there is alot of heat coming off of the engine...is this normal?

if you got a DMC full exhaust, the heat youre talking about may be from the pipes, i remember riding an EX with that exhaust.... they get hot!pipes like the BIG GUN, are ceramic coated so the heat is insulated by the coating. they also tend to keep the engine cooler under lower speeds since it doesent radiate heat that bad

nope, most air-cooled engines become hot.

If the carb is not jetted right and it's lean it will run hot but not for long....:huh

if you did not re-jet after installing the new exhaust that is probably why you are running hot. Check your plug.
