any 4 stroke motorcycle oil should work on ATV's?

Where I live there aint no ATV's so I guess it would be ok to use any kind of 4 stroke motorcycle oil, as long as the oil weight is correct?

Mobil 1 full synthetic
15w/50 for hot climates
10w/40 for cooler climates
10w/30 during winter months below 30-40 deg

Change it regularly, every 10-15hrs including filter or 5-10 hrs if you race. This may seem kind of expensive, but think of the cost of a rebuild or new engine.

Others may have different opinions but this is what was told to me by several people one of which is a good buddy of mine who owns his own shop.
