86 links in a 300ex chain? [Archive]

My brother needs to know the 300ex chain is 86 links stock. But he just wants to double check, with out recounting.

just get a 100 link chain and put it side by side and cut it

Yes it is a 520 x 86. The front sprocket is 13 tooth and the rea is 18 tooth.

38 rear tooth sprocket..yeah its 520x86

would u need to run a longer chain with a 14 tooth front, or can u just loosen the chain?
