Even at it's most efficient power setting, the big 14 consumes 1,660 gallons of heavy fuel oil per hour.

I wonder what kind of modifications would have to be made to the 400EX frame to fit it in there.... :D

just find a place that suits you and weld your frame to the side of the block :o

Do you think it uses a tuned exhaust? The expansion chamber would have to be HUGE for 102 rpm.

JTRtrx250r I'd like to see a valve or a plug...they gotta be huge

It's a two stroke, so chances are, it doesn't have valves. It's a diesel, so it doesn't have a "spark plug" so-to-speak, but I'd still love to see the size of the glow plugs and the amount of energy it takes to crank that thing over. I'd hate to be the poor ******* that had to change the oil in that thing. I know the 7.3L Ford diesels take something like 4 gallons to fill the crankcase. If you use the same math to figure it out, that make 13,962 gallons of oil for just the crankcase! DAMN!!!!

I like the pistons on that monster
oil injected into the piston, is that used on any other engines
I hadn't seen that before

Well, the article states that the oil injection is used on some high end performance motors for cars... I dont know of any off the top of my head though...

1660gal/hr /8cyl = 207.5gal/hr/cyl
102 rpm X 60min = 6120rph

207.5gal/hr / 6120 revs/hr = .339gal/stroke/cylinder

big enough to get over a 1/3 of a gallon of fuel to each cylinder

crf has an oil pisser in crank case that shoots oil at the bottom of the piston, its kinda neat, but yeah i havent seen it anywhere other than that.
