http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2432612635 what do you think of that? i have always hated american star but these "long travel" a-arms look to be about the crappiest weakest arms i have come across and look at how much travel they claim. any experts have some real info on them?

yep thats all i needed to hear. thanks for the info jeff. the main reason i hate ASR besides the fact their stuff looks to be super cheaply made is the fact when they were last rebel racing they ripped a TON of us ATVers off. with a owner that was that shady once whats to stop him from doing it again?

Being that lifetime warrenties are an effective marketing tool, those that offer them usually fall into 2 catagories...

The first is to illustrate and reinforce quality. :D

The second is to produce the illusion of quality, sell the product and gamble the cost of replacements have a minimum effect on the bottom line.

Done correctly this claim is an effective tool. Done incorrectly and the company usually change identity and begins the process again. :(

Do your homework....:o

as a ginny pig with not a whole lot of money i was one to purchase a set a asr a-arms, and mine don't look like those...I do agree that those look a bit on the shadey side, but mine have not had any problems with the welds, and no problems with the mounts, but my mounts aren't anything like those ones. The only downfall on mine that i have had, is the tie rods, don't seem to last, but no matter what kind i have they never last...And also the powder coat is chipping off.
