Brake levers

I just put on Maier woods pro handguards on and my brake lever is too long. I had to slide the master cylinder a little ways down the handlebars. It works pretty good, but I thought I might get a shorter one(maybe a CR) so the master cylinder can be level. Anyone have any experience with this. Will a CR lever work on an ex? I assume it is shorter. Any aftermarket levers available? Any help would be appreciated. CJ

gut it off,,I did that to mine when adding hand guards. Just cut the ball off.
