Well my local shop gets the hook up through tcs so i thought id have him call and get a price quote on how much it will cost to convert my "YFZ rebuildible shocks" to TCS ZPS. Well they said the fronts they cant convert do to the Spring bodies beiing a odd diameter in return they cant convert fronts to zps. How ever they can convert the rear. This is sorta disappointing,i bought the yfz because i didnt see me having to buy aftermarket shocks down the road because yamaha said they are rebuildible which they are, just not re springable for ZPS. Well PEP cant do it neither as we just contacted Baldwin Racing which produces PEP. Were trying to contact AXIS to see what they can do if anything.

How ever there is 1 company to knowledge named Dersi that does ZPS. But i have never heard of them or seen how they perform and im not taking a risk. IMO they are at Works level:rolleyes:

If anyone hears anything post here!!!!

Derisi is just as good as all the brand of shocks you named above. When he gets his own set of shocks out they are going to be awesome.

Im not bashing Dersi. I been racing competitive in the quads for around 6 years and its hard to hear of someone new like Dersi and switch from them to ur other Brands that have done earned a positve rep. If he makes such sweet shocks how come i have never seen what he does at races? Does he have a site where i can look and research,i may consider them depending on price and what not. Ok thanks alot for ur posts

I know Santo has been working really hard on rebuilding YFZ shocks. I Know for a fact that he will not sell you a re valve kit untill he is certain he has them perfect!!!! Would it make you feel more confident in his work if you knew some of the peoples shocks works on? Tavis Cain, Chad Lohr, and serveral of the top GNCC riders along with many others. I know him well and personally take office to you comparing his work to Works level. I have never heard one person complain about his work!

Im all MX,and have not heard of him. Im gonna do some research first before i put 10 cents down. I am only getting ZPS and need to see if that is what he offers. I need a shock builder that i can rely on for MX and i was researching and heard of Dersi in the corner and tossed it around on this thread hoping to getting some result. If all else fails ill go buy some TCS or PEP

I see your point. right now he doesn't have anything ready for the YFZ for MX. He is waiting on some a-arms. the two names I mentioned earlier are pretty big MX names and i am sure get as big air as you do. I just want to assure you he does know what he is doing when it comes to shocks. With him being a pro racer himself and having plenty of freinds to help with testing I am very confident he can get any shock dialed in to your liking!

Ask alaska speed about derisi, he called him but he wasn't home and his wife took a message but when he got home he called him right up. And alaska lives in alaska!

So far from dealing with Santo I have been genuinely impressed. His wife gave me his cell phone number when he wasn't around the shop, and we set up a time to talk. I will find out how I like my shocks when they come back later this week, but I think I will like them. He talked me through everything and answered all my questions. He gave me all my options including a few that would cost me less money and I knew he wasn't just in this for a quick buck. :)
