most pipes offer between 3-7 horses..its worth it..also add some jets and an airfilter and you'll notice a pretty big difference

The FMF pipe on mine was almost twice the size of the stock one and it had a lot smoother of a bend for better flow. Don't forget, these motors only put out 17-19horsepower to begin with. So if you do a mod and it only adds a 1/2 horsepower or more, you'll be able to tell. You'll also gain some speed on the top end, because of the motor breathing better.

You may want to try posting this in a powertrain thread, might get a lot more replies. Good luck.

Hey dannyf how do you like the 400 carb on your 300?? I'm in the process of a little bumping up on mine & was thinking about a bigger carb but was surprised @ how big the stock one is really.

I like it a lot, I kept my stock one and just retted it every time I did a mod until I got the the head modified by Sparks. That's when I figured I'd better get a bigger one to help it flow better.
