I have a 250x and i am just wondering does a 14t front sprocket fit and have room for the chain without modifying the case. What are the advantages of having it over my current 13t. will it work well with my current mods?

I have one on mine and the only thing I had to do was shave a little off the case saver. It will give you more top end. and for only around $15 you can't beat the mod.

it'll give you top speed, but you'll lose acceleration.

I put one on my 300 & had to take the case saver off:eek: How did you "shave" it?? I would like to know so I can run the saver w/ it. It sure made a difference for me on the trails though, but I'm putting the stock one back on for flattrack, plus it makes me REALLY nervous running w/o a case saver. I didn't seem to lose a whole lot of acceleration not really noticable.

on my 400ex i took a grinder to it and shaved a little off. i would not run without the saver. that could lead to a cracked case. you won't notice a loss of acceleration in a drag race. coming out of a corner or on a tight track you might notice a loss of low end.

well at the moment it revs out to quick, i want to make it spaced out a little better. But i dont want to modify the case really.

you only have to grind a little bit of the case saver away, not the case.

i thought the 250x didnt have a case saver? or is that just not an aftermarket one..
