should i flip the front shocks on my recon upside down? i have the front rims flipped so will this improve the suspension so it dosent bottom out as easily on jumps? ive heard of people doing this but is it really worth it? and does it cause parts to prematurely wear out at all? sorry for all the questions

Don't waste your time it doesn't make the shocks any better, if anything it makes them perform worse.
Find some used 250ex or 300ex shocks and bolt them up. They will work a little better than the recon shocks and go for fairly cheap.

you shouldn't be bottoming your recon shocks in the first place. if your bottoming them chances are your jumping and your definatley on the wrong machine for that. flipping your rims will not affect suspension at all, it just makes it wide but i don't even know if the recon uses offset rims, if it doesn't then flipping them did absolutley nothing. flipping your shocks won't help either.

whats wrong with jumping a recon? i can clear a 30 foot tabletop. and yes the wheels are offset. it made the front about 5-6 inches wider. guess i wont flip the shocks.:ermm:

A recon isn't made to be jumped.
I can tell you right now it won't hold up very long when ridden like a sport quad. I know from experience... It gets expensive!

i could clear a 30 foot table top on a shopping cart if i had a big enough hill to go down but would it make it a good idea?

hey i dont see how flipping your rims doesnt affect susupension. it changes the fulcrum and stuff so that its spaned out longer so that could be why you bottom out easily. and in my opion 300ex shocks wont make a diffrence cause a recon probably weighs more than a 300ex so the shocks will bottom even easier.
