Ok I am going to give this carb another try hopeing there is somthing wrong me me.Maybe some one can help me out I know i am running my carb to rich,,,it starts hard it back fires flames ect.I take the plug out its wet and black then i clean it and bam it starts right up.the thing is the edelbrock carb has a little dial on the top and i turned it all the way to the rich and then 12 clicks back to the lean there is a 30 click gap between the lean and the full rich. You would think 15 right in the middle would be perfect but its not.So i tryed 12 clicks out from the rich...........and another think could it be my spark plug I have'nt changed that thing for ever like i am talking 2 years.

You sound like you need someone with experience running that carb to help you, check local shops and see if they have installed one. Why haven't you changed your plug in 2 years? it's only $4
