How many of you have problems blowing head gaskets? If so what is your current setup? I guess with a stroker you will blow more head gaskets if you go 12 to 1. I guess 11 to1 doesnt blow them as often?

put the larger studs in and it will stop the blown head gaskets.

My EX used to be a mild 406 with a 11.1 piston in it. My headgasket didnt last two weeks. Why? I made one vital mistake, (I didnt know any better at the time) I didnt replace the headbolts. I was told when you rebuild anything from a weed wacker to a tractor motor, you ALWAYS replace the headbolts.
I recently built my 435. AFTER I finished it, I read that its required to use longer headbolts. Well, I have about 25 hours on the new motor and the headgasket is holding well with just new OEM headbolts.
