hey guys i gotta ?, soon im gettin a JE11:1 piston and and a cam for the 400. My question is will the stage 2 hotcams cam work well in my stock bore or should i stick with the stage 1. i want the biggest power gain possible, thanks.

I trail ride and a lot of gravel roads and some hill climbs also, id like to have the most mid-range possible. thanks

i personally like my stage 2. i would not buy the stage 1 even if you are using an 85mm piston that is of 11 compression. i personally wish i could buy a drop in cam that gives more top speed than the stage 2.

I love my stage 2, it gave me nice mid range and top end.

I'm doing a 416 11 to 1 je with an fcr. what drop in cam would you suggest and will there be a big power difference with this setup over stock? I ride at a mx track and Glamis alot!

most people notice quite a difference. however, some are not pleased. i got a stage 2 hotcam and i really like it. many people hate the hotcams because they had a problem with the flanges coming off but they re-did their cams and seem to be really good. i have not had any problems with mine so i am happy. there are so many cams you can get that are just drop-ins. you first need to decide if you want most low, mid, or top speed power. hotcam, hrc, and tc all make drop in cams.
