put to much oil in!!!

Someone told me on another site to put 2 and a half quarts in before anyone answered my thread on this site is this bad ? I only ran it for 5 minutes and rode it 20 feet to the shed. Do I drain a quart out and it will be fine./:confused:

are you talking about a 300ex?

yes I just drained a quart out. But it ideled for about 5 minutes yesterday after i changed it and I rode it \ about 50ft into the shed.

my 2003 300ex uses a little over a 1 1/2 quarts. the owners manual says to use 1.69 quarts
