200x motor problems again.....

my friend has a 200x 85 with a fresh rebuild. he put it together and some of the compression is comin out of the intake. Hes played with the timing alittle but he dont have much knowledge.
what do u suggest?

I would start by rechecking the valve clearance.

If the clearences are not set right it would cause this.

If they are right then it could be the vavles or the valve seats are bad.

Did he have the head and valves worked over when he had it apart?

make sure the valves are set correctly and make sure your timeing is correct.
