i like the ole' seat of the pants method myself....
and if you need to change them pants after this, you know you have enough hp. :D

i think chad502ex has a calculator on his website if i remember correctly. however, a dyno would probally be more accurate than a calculator.

You need to put it on a dyno. Even then things like tires and gearing can affect readings (if it's a chassis dyno, engine dynos are different). There are some programs like Desktop Dyno that can guess at your power output but the'll give u a ballpark figure at best.

Heres my HP calculator... for 4 strokes...
every $100 you spend towards engine improvement gives you 1 HP.
So if you sink $1300 into your 4 stroke you get 13 HP...:huh
Its actually a pretty good system.
Thats parts only, labor costs dont count. There exceptions like, milling the cylinder and such but in general.
