starting the 450r

most of u might know this but for those of u who dont, did u know the new honda 450r is kick start. also what exactly is the "hot start" where the electric start would usually be??

Um, hot start has nothing to do with electric start. It basically richens the pilot circuit, allowing more fuel into the engine upon startup.. I think. I know it adjusts the mixture for the pilot circuit, but I forget if it richens or leans it.

It leans the mixture.
It lets in more air.
Think of it as the opposite of a choke.
