well the tires on my dad's 2000 trx 300 4x4 are shot, and they suck, so we need new tires by winter, for plowing, and riding and for next year, now my dad knows he needs new tires, but he wont buy them, he is to cheap, so for christmass my mom, brother, and i are going to get him some new tires. my question is are 27x12x11 rear tri-claws, and 26x9x11 bi- claws over kill for a trx 300 4x4. I want some mud tires so i can plow good and get better ground clearence. i think the motor has enough tourqe for the tires, no are these a good choice? thanks for the hlep, and oh yeah the tires need to go on the stock rims.

For a good tire that is light weight I like the bear claw. I have put alot of them on the honda 300's they works great. they do not make them in the 27'' tall but they come in 25'' which is taller then stock and will not rob too much power. The bi claw and tri claw are also good tires.:)

I don't think he would have any power left with 27's on a 300. I put 25's (24 is stock) on the rancher I had, and it killed the power!
I have always liked the 589's. ITP or Titan makes them.

itll rob alot of power. my friend has the 2x4 model of that quad and he got the same height as stock, but it was wider and he lost some power just with that. get some 25 or 26 inchers. :macho
