just wondering what you guys do to take out links from a chain i bought a chain breaker and that **** broke.... by the way this is on a stock EX chain

you cant on a ex chain shince it has no master link now on aftermarket chains that have aftermarket links it works!;)

i know theres no master link on that but on a after market chain how do i take out links? with out a chain breaker? also what number is a stock EX chain is it 520?

Yes, the EX chain is a 520.

On an aftermarket chain, I just used a dremel tool to grind off one side of the stud, and then punch it through with a hammer and punch.

I use a flathead screwdriver to pry the clip up and off with and a lot of four letter words to help me along (and some pliers)!

Thats only for a masterlink though. Why do you need to shorten the chain? If you are doing this because you ran out of adjustment, don't. That chain and those sprockets need to be replaced.

naw its fine when its off the ground or no weight on the quad the chian is loos ebut when some ones on it its good

i was just wondering id like to chanige it and put the new DID chain i got do you want to know what type of coke i like? well i like coke with warm water and apple juice:blah:

i grind the link a bit, and it pops right off...very easy to do.
