I cut my friend's with a hacksaw.
1st cut the outer shell.
2nd cut the inner core.
3rd drill new holes for the endcap if your silencer is that style.
4th repack it and reinsert your screws or rivets.

u can decide bout the length but i think most use a hacksaw. not sure.

Just make sure to draw or etch straight reference lines on it before U take the blade 2 it b/c U def want the end cap to line up perfectly u doin it 4 looks anyway right?

Just my .02 but why??

It just looks silly that way + no gains really.

But being different is cool 4 sure......

the only reason id shorten my silencer would be to tuck it away from other quads so it doesnt get smashed up.

same reason here,i got hit during a raceone time and it almost tore my whole exhaust off, since then no probs.

I have a old sparks pipe and the silencer is way shorter than the X-4 or X-6 and it is so much louder and it gives it good midrange and top end.

Just make sure you dont cut off anymore than probably 2-3 inches.
