Our wheaer men around here blow everyhting out of proportion but this one is the real dael. Pulled the generator out last night, last hurricane we had power was gone for 10 days. Im at the fire station thursday and they are already talkin about recalls on friday and Im scheduled again on Saturday. Its gonna be a blast. We are gonna run our butts off. Hope everybody makes it thru alright with all that said, wish no harm on anybody.

This baby sure does have the potential to be one he!! of a storm by land fall, but it seems the weather people have learned the sensationalism that the news people use so often and now we dont know when to believe them or not.

This thing has over a 600 mile wide projected path so for now lets agree that the professionals dont know where this thing is really headed or what the actuall strength will be when it makes landfall.

I think that by late wed or early thursday we should know what the real path should be and how strong this thing will be when it makes it to the coast.

Personally I am only storing things in the yard that would be put away soon anyway and making a mental list of the other things to do till there is some more solid info etc. so till like wed I will be chillin.

Since I live on the water and am very very close to the ocean I certainly have to be concerned with this or any potentialy strong hurricane but after securing the usuall stuff like lawn furniture and boats and getting extra supplies etc there really isnt a whole lot you can do and most you wouldnt do till its a lot closer and your sure your in its path.

I have been thru some #3 and even a level 4 before and though these things can cause a lot of damage most of it is from the tidal surges and theres allmost noithing you can do about that.

Hope for the best.
